I have an acne cream called Benzaclin 5% 1% and I wanted to maybe add some retinol in my skin routine, does it mix?

I would not have been inclined to recommend this combination. Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that can have the effect of excessively drying the skin when combined with Benzaclin. You would have to moisturize your skin very very diligently to avoid problems like this.

I would recommend either one or the other
