Hydrocortisone cream and skin slimming

My doctor has prescribed me 1% hydrocortisone to get rid of some redness I have on my glans for 10 days. I'm hesitant, because I seem to have read that hydrocortisone can thin the skin. What do you think about this? Thank you, I will follow the treatment. Have a nice day.

The use of cortisone for a short period of time poses little risk and can be very useful in certain situations. In addition, Hydrocortisone 1% remains one of the weakest cortisones available on the market. To have a real impact on skin thickness, you would have to use a higher intensity cortisone and/or use it for a longer period of time.
