Hello Madam, thank you for your question!
Although the situation may seem quite unpleasant, it does not necessarily indicate a problem at this time. A delay in menstruation can occur following an episode of illness (or vaccination), stress, great fatigue, change of schedule, or even without any identifiable reason. It usually goes away on its own.
Having said that, are you taking hormonal contraception? Have you taken a pregnancy test?

Thank you for your answer
since we are on a baby trial, I am not taking any contraception. I have done 5 pregnancy tests over several days and they are all negative
on the day my period was supposed to arrive, i had blood on the paper when i wiped. I thought my period had arrived, but since then, nothing.

Thanks for the feedback!
I suggest doing a pregnancy test every 2-3 days with morning urine until a positive result or until menstruation occurs.

I'm going to do another one tomorrow morning but I don't think I'm pregnant. My partner has been out for 2 weeks so the last unprotected sex was at the end of June. Thank you for your help!

Hi, I tested again this morning (early detection) and it is still negative
i'm at day 38 today, so 8-10 days late. I have never had such a long cycle
i had full blood work done this winter because I had a 20 day cycle followed by a 35 day cycle. All my blood tests were normal
i browsed through the questions on this site and saw that other women were in the same situation with COVID
should i consult my doctor? Is there anything I can do to get my cycle going again?
i am on a "break" from MS medication to allow me to conceive...so I can't wait months for my cycles to return to what they were..

Good morning, Mrs,
8 to 10 days late is not in itself a reason to consult, especially considering that you have a history of irregular menstrual cycle.
As mentioned above, an episode of illness, not just COVID, can delay the onset of menstruation. It is suggested that you consult if the situation has persisted for a month (in your case, it would be mid-August)
Having said that, I would like to mention that it can take several months to conceive and that some people need up to 12 months

Okay then, I'll wait until mid-August before consulting
i know that conception can take a long time, but because of my illness, i don't have several months to go because of the medication, and that adds stress
thank you for your help! Have a great day!
