Hello,
Have you lost a lot of blood?
Also, has the bleeding stopped since the cut?
What you need to do following a cut is first clean it up well with soap and water and use a compress to stop the bleeding. Then you can make a dressing with the gauze, but I advise you to put what is called an Adaptic on the wound so that it does not stick to the gauze. If the wound is stuck to the pad, you can wet the pad to try to loosen it. It is not necessary to put cold water compresses.
On the other hand, I am unfortunately not able to assess your cut since I cannot see it. Therefore, I suggest that you go to your pharmacy and show the cut to your pharmacist, who can refer you if necessary or suggest appropriate dressings depending on the appearance of your cut.
