Is it okay to keep taking it at night, or to avoid this kind of inconvenience should I take my medication in the morning/midday?

Hello, I am starting a new mdx. It is Vilazodone Hydrochloride. I take it in the evening right after dinner. I am on day 3 at 10 mg. Since day 1, I wake up at night with nausea++ and loss of appetite during the day. I also believe that my irritable bowel syndrome has been active for 1 week, which could explain the last symptoms.

Hello,
The medication is probably the cause of your side effects, although irritable bowel syndrome can also cause this type of problem.
It would be possible to slow down the gradual increase or reduce the dose. I think that taking it during the day would only create nausea during the day.

In this case I like nausea at night better than at work... I will continue like this
Thanks for your answer :)

It's a pleasure, normally the digestive effects are transitory so you could take 1 tablet of gravol when the nausea wakes you up (be careful, it can make you sleepy or reduce your vigilance)
If not, discuss it with your pharmacy to readjust the treatment plan
Have a nice evening!
