Should I continue my pumps and treatment until the end (day 14)? Is there anything to worry about? Thank you very much!

It all started with a cold on November 20th and then for almost 3 weeks I was coughing... to the point of choking. My cough is dry (sometimes some mucositis) and after a phone conversation, the doctor told me that I have a respiratory infection. She prescribed me Nasonex (I have mucositis in my throat) and Neil Med (sinus rinse). Also, I have 2 pumps (Flovent morning and evening) and Ventoline when needed. On the 5th day of my 14 days of treatment, I tested myself and I am positive. A little tired, I take tylenol every 6 hours and no other new symptoms have appeared. I even see a small difference in the pumps on my cough. I'm just very worried... especially since I haven't seen a doctor in person... and he prescribed things without listening to my breathing and looking at my ears/throat etc. Also, I am a healthy person... no asthma no allergies! Just an anxious person!

Good morning, ma'am,
I don't see any problem with Nasonex and Sinus Rinse. Although a 14-day treatment with the mentioned inhalers is not necessarily dangerous in the short or long term, I am of the opinion that it would be better to redirect your question to your pharmacist who served the inhalers in order to allow him/her to adequately answer your question and, if necessary, to contact the prescriber for more information.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
