I gave birth 4 weeks ago. I have had to take iron since then, but I have a prolapsed organ and I really need to avoid constipation. I was prescribed docusate sodium and Lax-a-day. It works very well, but I saw on the lax-a-day that you should not take it for more than 7 days. I am afraid to stop taking it.
If I take it for a long time, my body will get used to it and I will be constipated without it.

Hello Mrs., thank you for your question!
I want to reassure you that taking Lax-A-Day long term is safe and does not make the colon sluggish. You can continue it as long as you need it.
