Can it be contagious when fluid escapes from the blisters

The liquid that comes out of the blisters caused by poison ivy is not contagious. However, make sure you have washed all clothing and surfaces that have been in contact with poison ivy so as not to inadvertently cause other reactions.

As for the sores on your arms, you will need to keep them clean by cleaning them with mild, unscented soap and water and protecting them from potentially dirty external surfaces (for example, by wearing long sleeves). This will decrease your risk of developing an infection.
