My spouse was given antibiotics, do I need to be tested?

My spouse took the double antibiotic therapy in one dose, and had been tested at the same time. I would like to know why the doctor put him on treatment right away and whether this is part of the follow-up of previous infections or because he suspected a recent contact? Is the contact recent or could it be a follow-up of a probable old infection from 2007? Should I be tested as well?

Hello, Madam!
These are good questions, but I am missing some key information in order to answer you
Consequently, I feel obliged to direct these questions to your spouse. If he doesn't know the answers, he should contact his doctor. Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the consultation that can be done on this platform.

This is information that the doctor must have given to your spouse. If this is not the case, you will have to consult him or ask him for clarification.
