I have pain in my right ribs several days after a fall?

27-year-old womana year ago
Hello, I have a discomfort under the ribs of my right side since 1 week and a half in specific positions, for example when I bend to pick up something on the ground and when I unfold myself. For the last week, I have been eating well, drinking matcha and vitamins every morning. I try to pay attention to my diet. The pain goes and comes back these last days. I had a fall two weeks ago on the ice, but it hurt 3 days later. I wonder if it could be my ribs or my liver... Because lately I have difficulty digesting and then my stools are soft... I went as far as detecting clear liquid... I am 25 years old and I have no health problems. I am worried.

Hello ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
Since it appeared, has it evolved (decreased or increased)? Do you have any other symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, fever, dizziness or other?

Decreases it looks like it is made certain time of day, certain movement . Not always the same and diarrhea yes

I called 811 today

They told me to go to the emergency room if other symptoms appeared (e.g. dizziness) and if the pain got worse (e.g. constant or when I breathe). That he was thinking more of musculoskeletal pain. Because I had a fall on this side on December 4th.
To try tylenol/Advil (it doesn't hurt enough for me to take it in my opinion) and to put some cold.
I'm in an action risk job.
I'm just afraid that the pain will stay or that it will be something that will become serious if we don't take care of it.

Thanks for the feedback. That would have been my first impression as well. Other than Tylenol, without advising you to restrict your activities entirely I suggest that you remain active as long as you avoid movements or activities that solicit pain.
I am confident that you will have an appointment, if only as a precaution.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
