I am coughing and losing my voice, what can I do or take?

36-year-old womana year ago
I have a cough (no throat pain) but I am losing my voice. I do not have a fever and I have had 2 negative Covid-19 tests since the first symptoms. I am asthmatic. Thursday and Saturday I ran outside and that's when it started. I blow my nose a little but not much and my nose is not blocked. When I cough, my voice comes back a little.

Hello Ma'am, I'm sorry to read about your troubles!
First of all, I suggest lozenges like Halls or Fisherman's Friend if needed, for local relief of throat irritation and to stimulate salivation.
If your ears are not completely blocked, I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can reduce their flow back into the throat which very often causes coughing and loss of voice or hoarseness. It's a bit unpleasant but it works wonders!
I encourage you to drink lots of fluids, cold or hot, as you prefer.
If the symptoms persist for more than 7 days without improvement, you should consult a doctor.
I hope I've been helpful and I'm available if you have any other questions!
