Do I need to consult or is this not a concern? It looks like rosacea? But is it possible to have this on a baby so young?

Hello, for the last week my baby has had red and purple cheeks. She finished antibiotics for ear infections (amoxil) on Monday January 9th. Her cheeks are red since Saturday, it starts with one and then the other. At first it was just red/purple staining. Now the red is less extensive but I see blood vessels in the redness. It doesn't seem to bother her.

Good morning, ma'am,
Would you be able to upload some well-lit images?
Have you tried anything for this problem?
Have you reported this to your pharmacist?

hello thank you for the answer everything is back in order.
i am now wondering about my oldest, who is 6 years old.
in the evening, around supper time, she comes in with red and hot cheeks and this is almost every night. We had attributed this to
fatigue, but after some research, I'm afraid it's more serious. Should I consult a doctor?

Thanks for the feedback, forgive my late reply I didn't see the notifications!
If it only happens at a particular time of day and in the absence of other symptoms, I would be of the opinion to try to find possible causes:
What I would suggest for the next 4-6 weeks is to keep a journal where you write down everything she consumes as well as the amounts, but also the activities she has been doing and her state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.). In the second column you could record the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
If no cause can be suggested, I suggest consulting a physician to get a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
