Do you know a website to consult a gynecologist in private?

For the last 3-4 years I have had trouble with contraceptives. I started to get acne. I am 29 years old and I started the pill at 14. Over the years my teenage pimples completely stopped and suddenly 4 years ago it all started again so since then I've changed my birth control pills 3 times. Now I have been taking nuvaring for 6 months and I love it because it has no side effects except for the acne again! I have all the creams prescribed by the dermatologist but it is really hormonal acne. I'm starting to get discouraged and want to stop it all. The doctors are not all pros with the pills I feel like they prescribe us anything without knowing our hormonal profile. Who can help me in this matter?

Hello ma'am, sorry to read about your troubles!!!
Acne can be secondary to birth control, it can also be hormonal in nature. Has your dermatologist done any blood tests to verify this? Have you mentioned to him or her that you suspect your contraceptive?

Yes I consulted dermago on the internet! She told me that it was hormonal acne and prescribed an antibiotic to take for 3 months but as soon as the treatment was finished it continued. She told me that the next step was accutane but I don't want to take this treatment I don't have acne everywhere I just have it on my chin but all the time! I'm sure there's something else to do because I haven't had a pimple for several years.

Thanks for the feedback.
It is quite difficult to consult a gynecologist without a medical reference. It is possible to do so but the delays will be greatly increased. I found some links online for clinics that do not require referrals, potentially, but you'll have to contact them to be sure though. I would also suggest a frank discussion with your own gynecologist so that you are both on the same page:

In this case, you could also ask your family doctor for a reference :)
Good luck!
