Can just the condom do the trick or does he have other recommendations?

I am 14 years old and I am ready to make love with my boyfriend. I have already taken the pellucid when I was 12-13 years old but I stopped taking it and I still have my prescription that my doctor gave me but asking my mother to take it again bothers me a lot but we are ready to do it.
