Is herpes reversible? Do I have to tell all my future sexual partners about this condition?

30-year-old womana year ago
I was diagnosed with herpes two years ago. I was with the same sexual partner, who knew about it, but we recently made the decision to separate. I have never noticed a rash on my genitals or anywhere else since I was told I had herpes.

Good morning, ma'am,
Unfortunately, this condition is not reversible; it is a virus that remains for life. It is strongly recommended that you inform your partners to ensure the necessary precautions.
I will remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist

Thank you very much for your answer. If I don't have a rash, is the risk of contagion still high?

The risk of contagion is reduced in the absence of lesions, but not completely eliminated.
