Hello. A few days ago, because of the heat, I had some small irritations on my crotch. I have been shaving my pubic area for several years and I did it that day. Afterwards, I applied a moisturizing aftershave cream on my crotch and my scrotum. The next day I felt my scrotum drying out and I made the mistake of applying the same cream again. For 3 days now my scrotum has been very dry and painful. It looks like crumpled paper, and if I exaggerate a bit, it looks like it is ready to be torn.

Hello sir, sorry to read about your troubles! A fragrance-free moisturizer like Aveeno can be applied as often as needed during the day. If there is a lot of rubbing, an ointment like Vaseline or Aquaphor can be applied. Avoid scented soap, and avoid scrubbing the skin too vigorously after bathing, I suggest lightly patting the skin to leave a thin layer of moisture on it and applying the moisturizer within 5 minutes of getting out of the shower.
