Am I starting to feel depressed? Is it because I've stopped taking my medication? Can a pharmacist change my dose?

I am diagnosed with chronic anxiety. I am taking antidepressants. My prescription was changed this summer. I was taking Zoloft 50mg, but because of the plastic wrap it often stuck to my torax which caused me pain. So my doctor prescribed me Cipralex 10mg. After all this, I did not feel any change in my anxiety with this new medication, as if I was not taking it. So, I stopped it while waiting to see my doctor even though I know it is not recommended at all. Except that, for a while now, I am always tired, I have difficulty getting out of bed, I am very irritable, I often cry for no reason and I have difficulty stopping. Also, my patience is very thin and I lack concentration. I am unable to see my family doctor because his schedule is always full. This affects my lifestyle and my motivation to do things that are usually very simple and routine.

Hello Madam, I am sorry to read about your troubles! However, the situation as you describe it, including the cessation of Cipralex and symptoms that prevent you from going about your activities, you will need to consult a physician.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful at this time, the situation you describe is beyond what can be addressed on this platform.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
