Hi, I started Benzaclin cream for hormonal acne 2 weeks ago. My doctor also prescribed Apo-Minocyline if the cream does not work. When can we say that the cream is not working?

She told me to take the antibiotic pill if the cream wasn't working. At what point can I consider that the cream is not working and that I should start the antibiotic?

Hello Ma'am,

We'll wait another 2-4 weeks before judging the effectiveness of the cream.

Benzaclin™ provides improvement in acne symptoms in more than half of people, so we should see an improvement.
