Can clotrimazole cream on the vulva and vagina with an applicator affect the 8 week pregnancy?

Breast cancer in 2016. Precious pregnancy after several attempts.
I am put on clotrimazole cream for vulvar burns. I am afraid because when I read on google this cream is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy and the vaginal applicator is not recommended!

Hello Ma'am,
In fact, clotrimazole cream is considered the first choice of treatment for vaginal yeast infection during pregnancy (including the first trimester)!
That said, it's true that you should be careful with the applicator. For example, one would avoid inserting it too deep to avoid touching the cervix.
Aside from that, you can continue its use without any problems!
Note that you need to treat for 7 days by applying at the vagina and on the vulva to have better results during pregnancy. Shorter treatments are less effective generally.
