My daughter has spots after chicken pox?

34-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello ! My 10 month old daughter had chicken pox 2 weeks ago. She did not scratch or pick at any scabs. I feel like she didn't even realize she had chicken pox! (Doctor confirmed illness). Now that all the pimples are gone, she still has red spots on her legs (where her pimples were). If we pass our hand on her legs with our eyes closed, we don't feel anything. They are just spots (no relief). Could they still be scars? Is there anything I can do to help it go away? Thank you!

Good morning, ma'am,
Chickenpox can leave marks in a few places. The skin needs several weeks to several months to mature. The best solution is to moisturize the skin with a fragrance-free moisturizer such as Aveeno, Base Glaxal, Cerave or other often. I also suggest using a fragrance-free soap like Dove when bathing. After getting out of the bath, lightly pat the skin to leave a thin layer of moisture and apply moisturizer quickly after. Protect the skin from the sun to give the skin every chance
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
