Can I take something else for the pain, because as mentioned the pain is really unbearable? Thank you for your help!

Hello, since Sunday I have had a pain in the roof of my mouth that is extremely painful with a little swelling. I went to the dentist today and she seemed to say that it was some kind of gingivitis that was caused by an irritation from a food. I have been on the advils since yesterday morning because as soon as they stop working the pain is unbearable. She told me after removing the small popcorn shell lodged under my gum to gargle with salt water and floss the area 2x a day. It doesn't help with the pain. I also took hot tea and it helped the swelling but not the pain. I have reached the limit of Advils recommended in a 24 hour period but I am still in pain and it may continue for the next few days.

Hello ma'am, have you tried anything other than Advil, like Tylenol or both?
