Hello! My nails are very fragile and brittle, they split. This has caused me to undergo several nail operations since it causes me to have ingrown toenails (4 operations in one and a half years). Moreover, my hair breaks easily and has not grown for 3 years now. My last blood tests did not show anything (about a year and a half ago). What can I do, are there any extra vitamins or anything that has been shown to work? Relevant info: I finished takingccutane 1.5 months ago (60mg/day for 5.5 months).

Hello Mrs.,
Throughout these 4 operations, has a professional mentioned to you that you suffer from a particular condition? In other words, has a diagnosis ever been made in relation to your situation?
Have you ever been told about Nutricap?

No, no diagnosis was given. I'm going to do blood tests for iron and TSH again. I've heard of Nutricap before, but does it really work? Is it supported by the evidence? Thanks for your help!

Thank you for this information.
In fact, there is little reliable data showing Nutricap's effectiveness in a situation like this. Most of the data found on the subject is from the general satisfaction of women who have used the product. So it is not clear whether this satisfaction is related to a very large improvement in symptoms or just a small improvement combined with no side effects.
Bref, it is possible to try this product without much fear since, in some people, it does improve the symptoms of brittle hair and nails somewhat and it is usually very well tolerated. A trial of up to 60 days is recommended in this case. If no improvement is seen after 60 days, it is recommended to discontinue its use.
You can also wait for the results of the tests you mentioned in your last message before trying anything. In this case, avoid exposing yourself to very irritating products, such as hair dyes and other chemicals that your hands may come in contact with.
Hopefully it will be helpful,

P.S. Since your Accutane treatment has recently ended, it is also possible that the situation will improve on its own over the next few months. It could take another 3 to 6 months, however.
