My face gets hot when I eat too much sugar (lots of pastries, jam, chocolate, etc.). Is this normal?

I eat a lot of sugar, and there are a few cases of diabetes in my family that worry me. But when I take blood samples, it is perfect and I have no problem with it.

Good evening ma'am,
It is possible, yes. This can be explained by the fact that the presence of very large amounts of sugar in the blood can lead to a certain dilation of the blood vessels (among others those of the face). In such a case, you will feel hot, or you may also have a redder face.
This happens whether you have diabetes or not.
Good evening,
Alexandre
