I washed the wound with soap, disinfected with alcohol and put an antibiotic cream on afterwards.

Yes, it is best to seek medical attention. Indeed, a large majority of cat bite wounds end up getting infected. If the bite is on the hand in addition, you should consult quickly (as the skin is very close to several small bones).
