I was taking the contraceptive pill (not continuous) and I just changed to the mini-pill (which must be taken continuously)

Good evening ma'am,
It depends!
At what point in your cycle did you make the pill change? And when exactly did you have your unprotected sex?

I stopped my first pill on Saturday Sept 5, which I always stopped for 7 days, then I got my period and started my new one the following Sunday, right when I usually go back on my pill. I had intercourse the following Friday (5 days)).
Also, is bleeding 8 days later normal?

I have always taken Alesse for several years, stopping it every month. I switched to Movisse.

Thank you!
For the risk of pregnancy, it is considered zero at this point, as the pill change was done during the week of the period! :)
For bleeding, it may happen here and there during the first 3 months. That's what can happen with pill changes. That said, it's nothing to worry about and if your pill isn't taken late, the protection your new pill offers is no less because of bleeding.
