Is it certain that I have herpes! After how many days will I have herpes pimples on my genital area or my spouse?

Hi, I had oral sex and then full sex with my partner and the next day I had a cold sore, but it didn't bubble up with white pu it stayed dry (I'm not 100% sure if it was a cold sore). I didn't actually think it was a cold sore because usually when I get one I know it! I had another oral and genital sex 3 days later. I read that it was contagious even before you could see it. I was wondering if it was possible that I now have genital herpes, because the entrance to my vagina is sensitive!
