My son has a lot of gas after an episode of gastroenteritis?

An episode of gastroenteritis can be quite distressing, even some time after recovery. The important thing is that you notice a gradual improvement every day, and that your child manages to eat even if a little less than usual.

If your child is able to drink/eat, wet and soak his/her diaper and if his/her general condition remains good, just monitor the situation.

If you are giving him food other than milk or formula, I suggest light foods and avoid heavy or sweet foods such as red meat and undiluted fruit juices.
