Good morning, ma'am,
When did you first notice the cough?
Do you have other symptoms such as runny nose, even a little, coughing, sneezing, or other?
Have you tried anything for the problem?
Are you taking any other medications?
Are you pregnant or trying to become pregnant, or are you breastfeeding?
Do you have any allergies, intolerances or known contraindications?
Thank you for your time!

Hello,
I don't have any other symptoms, I don't take any medication, I'm not pregnant, I don't have any allergies or anything. It is only a cough that I have had for months, it is not related to covid or a cold.

Thank you for the information, I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I hadn't seen the notification!
I was asking about other symptoms as the cough is often caused by sinus drainage back into the throat, like a leaky faucet. To this end, I suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. By 'cleaning' the nasal secretions, we can greatly reduce their flow back into the throat. It's a little uncomfortable but it works like a charm!
I invite you to try this measure for at least 7 days. If it doesn't work, I believe that a medical consultation will be necessary to rule out other causes.
I hope I have been helpful, I will remain available if you have any further questions.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
