I am not able to remove the nail. It gives me pain. Do I need to consult?

Hi Patricia,
You can try to calm down the inflammatory reaction of the toe by soaking it with epsom salt and I would advise you to use an antibiotic ointment such as polysporin. If the pain/redness does not subside, I would advise you to consult a podiatrist who will be able to cut/remove the portion of the nail that hurts you.
