I sometimes get constipated and have blood in my stool?

22-year-old woman2 years ago
I sometimes have blood in my stool, stomach pain, cramps & hard stomach, sometimes constipated and sometimes diahree but not a liquid diahree (it's very rare) I feel tired... I would like to be enlightened because I feel a lot of anxiety and the delays before seeing a doctor are very long, it's certain that I will consult anyway! How do I know if I have colon cancer? I am almost 20 years old.

Hello, thank you for your question!
Constipation should be addressed if, among other things, you have hard stools
I suggest that you review your diet plan to increase your fiber intake, through fruits & vegetables, and whole grains for example (brown rice, whole grain bread, etc.) and drink plenty of fluids during the day, so as to soften the stools.
Is the anxiety about the symptoms you describe, or do you have anxiety in general? If it is in general, I suggest you talk to your doctor at your next appointment, or make an appointment with a doctor
I hope this has been helpful to you, please feel free to ask any other questions you may have

Your answer doesn't really answer my question! I have generalized anxiety but my doctor already knows about it! I am trying to find out if my symptoms could be cancer. I am very worried about this. I also have trouble breathing and get short of breath easily. Thank you

I'm sorry about that. Unfortunately, it is impossible to answer "how do I know if I have colon cancer?" because that is making a diagnosis, which is an act reserved for doctors. I have tried to make recommendations regarding the presence of blood and what you have described as occasional constipation. These recommendations are also habits that help prevent the occurrence of many cancers including colorectal cancer.
My colleagues on this platform and I remain available should you have any questions regarding a diagnosed health condition or treatment.
Sincerely
