I had a contraceptive implant installed almost 2 months ago and once in a while it hurts. Is this normal?

Hello,
Pain at the implant site is one of the possible side effects of the contraceptive implant. Are there any other symptoms that bother you? Are there any signs of infection at the implant site (e.g. redness, warmth, etc.)?
If there are signs of infection or if the pain is getting worse or more difficult to bear, I would suggest that you refer the situation to your doctor.
I remain available if you need more information!
