How long does it take for pimples to disappear after Gianotti-Crosti?

My son has been diagnosed with gianotti crosti. It has been 4 weeks since he has had his pimples on his face. It is gone on his legs but it is still on his face. How long can it take before it goes away?

Hello ma'am, thank you for your question!
It usually heals on its own but can take several weeks. I have found references mentioning 6 weeks, others longer.
What you can do, if not already done, is to avoid applying soap to your child's face, and to avoid rubbing too vigorously after the bath: instead, lightly tap to leave a thin layer of moisture. Applying a fragrance-free cream such as Glaxal Base and others can also help moisturize the skin (hydrated skin can heal better).
I hope this has been helpful to you, and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
