I use a hot water bottle to soothe the pain. What else should I use? I don't have polysporin drops, but cream does

Hello, since yesterday I have a big pain in my left ear: inflammation, pain, hearing loss.

Good morning, ma'am,
The first intention of treatment is acetaminophen (Tylenol and other brands). Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and other brands) can also help, but you will have to confirm with your pharmacist that it is safe for you. For now, if ear pain is your only symptom, this is the only recommended treatment. I do not recommend Polysporin.
If the pain persists for more than 7 days without improvement, if you notice any discharge from the ear or if the situation deteriorates, you should see a doctor.
I will be available if you have any further questions!

I think my ear had some kind of trauma from scratching, hitting my ear...I couldn't tell. I continue to take tylenols, a heating pad and sinus rinse. Hopefully it will get better in the next few days!

I had a diagnosis and finally it is an external otitis. Today, my ear is better thanks to drops prescribed by the doctor :)
