Alternative to adenosine in the hospital?

Hello I was wondering if you knew about it because it is a medication. I have supraventricular tachycardia. I have read several things that if the tachycardia does not stop, adenosine should be injected. But this medication traumatizes me. Is there an alternative if I ever go to the hospital that would make me feel better like an intravenous beta-blocker or something?
