The doctor prescribed Celebrex 200 mg for 3 days for intercostal pain. I have to take the last pill tomorrow and would like to know if the over the counter Naproxen is as effective as Celebrex.

I don't use Avapro 150 mg for high pressure but it is very well controlled.

Over-the-counter naprosyn (aleve) is also an anti-inflammatory, so it is effective against pain and inflammation. However, the 220mg dose is not equivalent to Celebrex 200mg. However, it may be enough to effectively control your pain. Monitoring of your blood pressure is still appropriate even if it is currently well controlled on avapro. Any anti-inflammatory drug can cause your blood pressure to rise, this varies from person to person
