Hello! Are babies at risk of developing severe symptoms of COVID-19 and/or dying from it? Thank you for your answer!

I am the mother of three children who are 4 years, 2 years and 2 months old. My oldest is able to follow breathing etiquette, but my youngest is not. I am very worried about my youngest who I have not been able to breastfeed, especially since I have always been told that babies under one year old have a very fragile immune system.

Hello Ma'am,
Young children are usually spared the symptoms of COVID19. In fact, young children rarely get sick.
So there's nothing to worry about if your children don't follow respiratory etiquette, which is perfectly normal at this age :).
Happy day,
Alexandre Chagnon, pharmacist.
P.S. At the time of writing, in Quebec 90% of deaths were recorded among people aged 60 and over, while those aged 50-59 account for 9.7% of the remaining deaths. The people under 50 who died from COVID19 were almost all with underlying health problems.
