My 7-week-old baby is having greenish watery stools and is crying more than usual. What could be causing this?

She is exclusively breastfed.

This has been going on for 2-3 days. She used to have about 3-4 bowel movements a day, but now we are more like 6-7 a day. She doesn't seem to be uncomfortable when expelling the stool, however she is much more irritable at all times (cries when waking up, when I put her down, when burping and jiggles a lot at the breasts too) yet, since she was born, she hardly ever cried to me... Should I go see a doctor in a clinic?

Hello Ma'am,
Sometimes this happens when a little baby's body is fighting off a little virus, like the stomach bug.
How are you doing today?

Hello! Thank you for answering my question! Could it be hyperlactation? My doctor told me that since my daughter is not gaining enough weight, I should start taking the supplements (fenugreek, blessed charcoal, brewer's yeast) and if that still didn't work we would go on domperidone. She is gaining enough weight now but I feel like she never finishes my breasts (she only drinks the milk at the beginning of the feedings). Is it possible that this is the reason for all her ailments? And could her not getting enough end of feed fat be harmful to her health in the long run?
Since this morning she is drinking from the same breast and I still don't feel it emptied, her crying has decreased and no stool yet today.

I understand.
No, in my opinion the fact that she is not drinking "all the breast" is not the issue here. Also, know that this is very very common and in the long run is unlikely to have a negative impact on her health.
Finally, the products you named are probably not involved here either.
If the stool of this color is new, I would wait at least 5-10 more days to see if it changes, before worrying about it. In the meantime, if the child is still drinking this way, doesn't have a fever, and doesn't seem more troubled, then we wouldn't worry.
Good evening,
Alexandre
