Baby's Breathing Breaks?

Question

Hello, my boy of 16 months seems to be tired since a few days even after the naps my not the nights one returns from one week of vacations. And I was wondering tonight I calculated in 5 minutes maybe 4 times or that he was cutting his breathing that lasted less than 5 seconds (he doesn't snore, doesn't make any noise while sleeping) can this be normal or should I worry about sleep apnea in the child? I will see his doctor soon enough but I have some concerns

Good morning, ma'am, Babies have a very irregular breathing pattern. This is very common in newborns and decreases with age. Pauses lasting less than 5 seconds do not necessarily indicate a problem If your baby is making noises while breathing, it would be wise to discuss this with your pediatrician. Tom Samaha, pharmacist
