My 8 month old baby has three fly bites near his eye. His eyelid is slightly swollen. What should I do to relieve him?

Hello Ma'am,
Sorry for the delay in responding :)
For swelling related to insect bites in young children, it is best not to apply anything directly to the bites except cold (for no more than 10 minutes per hour).
If the swelling continues to be present after 2 days, or if it increases so much that the eye closes, a dose of Benadryl™ can be given by mouth (Benadryl™ in a tube to be applied to the skin is absolutely avoided). If the swelling continues despite the Benadryl™, we go see a doctor.
Good evening :)
