Can my newborn get hand-to-mouth disease?

Hello, my 2 1/2 year old boy caught the foot hand mouth at daycare. However, I have a premature newborn at home 4 weeks real age, 39 weeks corrected age. Thank you very much for your help.

Hello Madam, Hand-foot-and-mouth disease can be contagious. As with other viral infections such as colds, it is necessary to recommend the usual hygiene measures such as distancing oneself, frequent washing of hands and surfaces/objects. It can be contagious for about 10 days.
