Hello Ma'am,
The action of teeth grinding is called bruxism. It can occur in some babies as they are discovering new things in their mouths. In the long run, bruxism can have consequences such as jaw pain, headaches and enamel wear. It's recommended that your baby have a dental visit around age 1.
Generally, this action goes away on its own in children. However, to help your baby, you can make use of teething toys or a cold water washcloth that your baby can chew on under your supervision. If you notice that your baby is in more pain, you can give him or her Tylenol. For more information on teething, I invite you to visit here.
