on April 4 I received the dx of a venous thrombosis phlebitis (reason: contraceptive pill that I stopped). I am bleeding profusely, what should I do?

Since taking medication to clear my blood I started my period the day after the phlebitis on Sunday and since then it has been a deluge. I have to change my clothes frequently, several towels per hour, I feel weak, extremely tired and sometimes I have headaches that make me feel like I am going to lose consciousness. Do I have to continue the medication to clear the blood? I had been prescribed Naproxen for pain and it gives me palpitations so I don't take it anymore.

Good evening Madam,
In such a case, you should consult a doctor (especially if the bleeding has been present for more than 7 days).
In fact, taking the blood thinning medication can make menstrual bleeding more fluid and even heavier. That said, it shouldn't extend the time you have your period (5 to 7 days). What complicates your current situation is that in addition to taking a new blood thinning medication, you have abruptly stopped taking the pill. In other words, know that the next few months may not be as bad.
Happy ending,
