I have a pain in my lower left belly (almost at the level of my ovaries), often the pain is transmitted to the whole of my belly (big cramp). The vast majority of the time, my stools are very soft and I go to the bathroom afterwards with big cramps in my stomach and I can stay in the bathroom for 45 minutes. I have consulted several specialists and had a colonoscopy, but all the results are negative and I have not had any advice to reduce my stomach pain. I don't believe that my stomach pains on the left are related to the cramps before my bowel movements. When I have left-sided bellyaches, I feel like I have a big bruise and that I am pressing hard on it (this can easily last 30 minutes or more. Very often, when I go to bed at night I have a slight pain in my lower abdomen (out of 10 my pain is at 4) and it is continuous. This situation makes me very uncomfortable in all aspects of my life and I have endured this situation for too long already."

Hello, ma'am,
Have you been able to identify foods or situations that potentially make your symptoms worse?

I have done some tests (including consulting a nutritionist), but the problem persists.

Thanks for the information.
At first glance, I think we should try to find possible causes.
What I suggest for the next 4 to 6 weeks is to keep a journal where you will write down everything you consume as well as the quantities, but also the activities you undertake, and your state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.).
In the second column you could write down the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
If no cause can be suggested and the problem persists, I suggest that you re-consult a physician to have a thorough evaluation of the situation.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
