What should I do? Do you have any tips? Does this require a consultation with my doctor?

Hi, I had covid in January 2021. My taste and smell came back 100% in March. At the beginning of April, lots of foods started tasting different...not good. I'm wondering what I can do to get it back to the way it was, there are many foods that I am now unable to eat (dairy, peanut butter, anything bread/crackers, some vegetables, etc.) Should I see a doctor? I'm a little confused, I only hear about the total loss of taste and smell, but no changes.

Hello,
It is possible, although taste and smell have returned, that they are impaired. The coronavirus causing COVID-19 creates a disruption of the olfactory nerve as well as the region responsible for taste and smell in the brain. It is impossible to say when this will return to normal (and especially how it will happen). There is unfortunately nothing that can be done, no pharmaceutical or medical thing that I know of could manage to alleviate your problem.
I hope I was able to answer your question, although I don't have an effective solution for you.
