What to do about water behind the eardrum?

49-year-old woman2 years ago
Hello, According to the examination done by two nurse clinicians, I have water behind my eardrum. I received a prescription of apo momentasone 1 week ago, my ears hurt a lot less but I still have pressure and I still feel like my head is unable to concentrate, so I went back for a consultation and they made me understand that I had to wait for the liquid to dry up! It's been 5 years now that when I fly and the landing is really painful for my ears, I always have symptoms every time and nobody wants to help me,

Hello Madam, apart from mometasone, do you use other products?

Thanks for the feedback!
I strongly suggest nasal hygiene with a saline solution (Hydrasense, Sinus Rinse and others), which can be done as often as needed during the day, and at least 30 minutes before bedtime. This can greatly help to 'suck out' any water that may have accumulated in the sinuses. It's a little uncomfortable but it can work!
We should have an idea of the effectiveness of mometasone after 5 to 7 days.

Thank you very much and to remove the pain when getting off the plane what do you suggest? Because it's really painful

Swallowing or chewing gum, or taking a nasal spray 45 minutes before landing can greatly help.
