How to reduce pimples on the face?

23-year-old woman2 years ago
Hi, I have been on the contraceptive implant for 7 months (I am also taking concerta (still finding the right dose for me) and an eczema antibiotic for an infection on my hands for 1 week) I have big pimples under the skin in my face, painful and not white or blackhead style. just a boiton 'under the skin' that makes a painful bump. For the past month I have always had 3-4 at a time in my face. I also have several white pimples. I wash my face 3-4x week, rarely wear makeup and have never had acne prone skin. I also have white pimples on my arms and sometimes my legs. But smaller.

Hello Mrs.,
In order to advise you properly, would it be possible to know if you have tried anything for this problem?

I take an avene cleanser as well as a cream from the same brand for pimples. I remove my makeup with aveeno and idc too. I ordered some small pimple patches too but haven't tried them yet

Thanks for the feedback!
There is an over the counter topical gel with benzoyl peroxide (Benzagel and other brands) that can be applied 1-2 times a day to the affected areas. Just be careful as it can loosen clothing and bedding. If it dries or irritates the skin, use only once a day or once every other day for the first week.
Also, I suggest avoiding applying makeup and other cosmetics as they can make acne worse.
I hope I've been helpful, I remain available if you have any other questions
