I have had headaches every day for months, what can I do?

24-year-old womana year ago
Hello, I have had headaches/migraines every day for months. I have tried several medications (sumatriptan, naproxen, propranolol, metoprolol and atenolol). They did not have a positive effect. I have been referred to a headache clinic, but I don't know how soon they will be able to evaluate me. I am now trying thc free cbd oil, I am willing to try anything. The last couple of days I have been nauseous and vomiting from the pain, which doesn't usually happen to me. I had to stop in my car to throw up. Today I have chest (or epigastric) pressure, nausea, and pressure in the bottom of my head that I don't usually have. I am very worried.

Hello Madam, I am sorry to read about your troubles!
It is important to keep in mind that products such as metoprolol, propranolol and atenolol can reduce the frequency of migraines but not eliminate them completely. Also, taking naproxen more than 10-14 days per month may increase the risk of migraine relapse. That being said, if these options have not been effective, your pharmacist can suggest alternatives to your doctor.
At first glance, I think we should try to find possible factors or triggers. What I suggest for the next 4 to 6 weeks is to keep a diary where you will write down everything you consume as well as the quantities, but also the activities you undertake, and your state of mind (fatigue, stress, etc.). In the second column you could write down the occurrence and extent of the symptoms. We could then identify some possible causes. This may take several weeks so I suggest being diligent.
I hope I have been helpful and remain available if you have any further questions!
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
