Do you have a recommendation for easing the pain and inflammation of a new pimple?

My spouse had a telephone appointment with his doctor. But being on a construction site, he was not able to take note of all the recommendations provided by the doctor. My spouse has a recent problem with periodic acne on the shoulders only. The pimples are painful before and during their appearance. They have a white head, and inflammation is visible all around. Her doctor recommended the use of a Spectro Gel cleanser and the application of benzoyl peroxide. But, she had recommended using a product as soon as a pimple appears if it is painful to soothe. As soon as a piece of clothing touches the skin, it makes the pimple even more sensitive. So, other than using Spectro gel and benzoyl peroxide, would you have a recommendation for calming the pain and inflammation of a new pimple while waiting for the treatment to take effect?

Hello,
I am writing to you today about a situation concerning my spouse (Olivier).
He had a phone consultation with his family doctor recently regarding a recent problem with acne on his shoulders. The pimples are still very inflamed, from the time they break out until they are dry, and still have a white head.
Her recommendations were: use Spectro Gel when showering and benzoyl peroxide (2x/day).
She also mentioned that he could use a 3rd product to be applied locally during the eruption in order to calm the pain and the inflammation, since the pimples become very uncomfortable when rubbed with clothes. But being on a construction site at the time of the call, he was not able to take note of all the recommendations.
So now we are looking for recommendations for quick relief of the inflammation/pain when a new pimple appears.
Thank you!

Hello ma'am,
Indeed, Spectro and benzoyl peroxide are the first intentions for acne.
As for another product, your spouse will have to contact his or her doctor to get the right information.
Sincerely,
Tom Samaha, pharmacist
