Hello, my daughter started taking penicillin on Wednesday for a possible strep (not tested) but as there was some at the daycare and the symptoms were there she decided to treat . no other symptoms ... is it better to give Benadryl? is there any way to show you a picture? thank you ☺️ She is 2 years old

Good evening, How old is she? Does she have any other symptoms besides the rash? It seems to be a delayed reaction that sometimes occurs in response to amoxicillin. It is not necessarily an allergy. I do recommend that you take pictures to see how the rash is progressing. If it is not itchy, an anti-histamine like benadryl is not necessary due to the possibility of side effects. I suggest you stop the antibiotic and contact your community pharmacist tomorrow morning for further action. Hoping it will be helpful, I wish him a speedy recovery and wish you a nice evening.
