Am I at greater risk of clots if I have COVID and a factor II mutation?

I am taking anticoagulants (recently lowered to Eliquis 2.5mg 2x day) following extensive phlebitis and pulmonary embolism. Upon examination, they discovered that I also have May-Thurner syndrome as well as a mutation of the prothrombin gene (factor 2). I'm wondering if this puts me at greater risk for a clot and if I should go back to my initial dose of 5mg 2x day to prevent...

Hello ma'am,
According to some studies I've identified, the mutation can increase the risk of thrombosis. This is actually one of the main reasons I strongly suggest vaccination if it hasn't already been done.
That being written, only your doctor can rule on whether you need to increase your blood thinner dose. For now, you should only take the prescribed dose. If desired, I suggest contacting him/her to discuss this further, or contacting your pharmacist/ne who could initiate the steps to reach your doctor.
